According to Jinse Finance, citing foreign media reports, as Korea-US tariff negotiations have stalled due to issues regarding the implementation of an investment plan in the US totaling $350 billion, Korea's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, Choo Kyung-ho, will visit the US on the 15th to meet with US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant. According to news from Korea's Ministry of Economy and Finance and the department in charge of economic and trade affairs on the 12th, Choo Kyung-ho will attend the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting, as well as the IMF and World Bank Annual Meetings in the US on the 15th. It is expected that Choo Kyung-ho will hold bilateral talks with Besant at that time to exchange views on the fiscal affairs of both countries. It is reported that the specific time and format of the bilateral finance ministers' meeting have not yet been finalized.
