OpenAI has introduced new app integrations for ChatGPT, enabling you to link your accounts directly and instruct the assistant to perform tasks on your behalf. For example, with the Spotify integration, you can ask ChatGPT to generate custom playlists that will appear in your Spotify account.
To begin, ensure you are signed into ChatGPT. Start your prompt by mentioning the app you wish to use, and ChatGPT will walk you through the login and connection process for your account.
If you prefer to set up everything at once, navigate to the Settings menu and select Apps and Connectors. There, you can explore the list of available apps, choose your favorites, and proceed to sign in to each one as needed.
Keep in mind that linking your accounts means sharing your app data with ChatGPT. Always check the permissions you grant during the connection process. For instance, connecting your Spotify account allows ChatGPT to access your playlists, listening habits, and other personal details. While this can enhance your experience, consider your privacy preferences before granting access.
You have the option to disconnect any app at any time directly from the Settings menu.

This integration with the major travel platform is intended to assist travelers, especially those visiting a destination for the first time and seeking accommodation recommendations.
After connecting your Booking.com account, you can request ChatGPT to search for hotels in your chosen city, filtered by your travel dates and budget. You can also specify the number of guests and whether you prefer accommodations close to public transportation. ChatGPT aims to make this process smoother than searching directly on Booking.com, and you can be as detailed as you like, such as requesting “hotels with breakfast included.”
When you find a hotel that suits you, simply open the Booking.com page to complete your booking.

Alongside the announcement of app integrations for ChatGPT, OpenAI also revealed plans to add more partners soon, such as DoorDash, OpenTable, Target, Uber, and Walmart. These are expected to become available later this year.
Currently, ChatGPT’s app integrations are only available in the United States and Canada. Users in Europe and the United Kingdom do not have access at this time.
