Alibaba's AI Qwen Challenges ChatGPT, DeepSeek, and Claude in the Market
- Qwen Chat turns surveys into professional web pages
- Alibaba's model generates podcasts with realistic human voices
- Free tool rivals ChatGPT and Gemini in performance
Qwen Deep Research, Alibaba's artificial intelligence lab, has introduced an update that allows complex searches to be transformed into web pages and podcasts almost instantly. The new feature expands the tool's reach, positioning it as a robust and free alternative to solutions like ChatGPT, DeepSeek, and Claude.
The system combines three open-source models: Qwen3-Coder, which creates website structures; Qwen-Image, which creates embedded graphics; and Qwen3-TTS, which generates dynamic audio narration. Despite its open-source nature, the entire operation—from analysis to content hosting—is provided by Qwen itself, ensuring a complete user experience.
Qwen Deep Research just got a major upgrade. ⚡️
It now creates not only the report, but also a live webpage 🌐 and a podcast 🎙️ – Powered by Qwen3-Coder, Qwen-Image, and Qwen3-TTS.

The process begins in Qwen Chat, where the user enters a research question. The AI analyzes public sources, performs searches, and produces reports with verifiable citations. Then, two main options appear: "Web Dev" and "Podcast." The first automatically creates a functional and visually professional web page, while the second converts the content into an audio program with up to 17 presenter voices and seven co-hosts.
In tests with complex queries, such as analyzing philosophical and scientific arguments about the existence of God, Qwen outperformed competitors in citation depth and accuracy. References included academic authors like Bertrand Russell and debates between William Lane Craig and Peter Atkins, reinforcing the tool's focus on serious, well-founded research.
Compared to Gemini, ChatGPT, and Grok, Qwen excelled in the clarity and quality of its responses, particularly its ability to generate interactive pages with links, graphics, and a publish-ready structure. Audio performance was also impressive, offering natural intonations and voice variations that simulate a real conversation between experts.
For researchers, content creators, and educators, Alibaba's solution emerges as an automated production tool capable of drastically reducing the time between data collection and information dissemination. Combining academic accuracy and multimedia capabilities, Qwen Deep Research redefines the use of AI in communication and research applications in 2025.
