Institution: US government shutdown nears its end, investors look forward to data guidance
Jinse Finance reported that Simon Ballard, Chief Economist at First Abu Dhabi Bank, pointed out in a report that although progress has been made in ending the US government shutdown, as long as mainstream economic data continues to be absent, the market will remain in a state lacking guidance. The economist stated that this leaves investors without clear direction and highly susceptible to short-term headline risks. "In addition, we expect that, for the foreseeable future, interest rate volatility and uncertainty will remain elevated," he added. Currently, there is a turning point in the US government shutdown deadlock—as some Democratic lawmakers voted in support, the Senate has cleared procedural obstacles and officially advanced the bill to end the shutdown.
