The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission announces the reappointment of CEO Leung Fung-yee for a two-year term
Jinse Finance reported that the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) announced the reappointment of CEO Leung Fung-yee for another two-year term, effective from January 1, 2026. It is reported that Leung Fung-yee has served as CEO of the Hong Kong SFC since January 1, 2023. During her tenure, she introduced the virtual asset trading platform licensing regime and released a virtual asset roadmap, showing a friendly attitude toward the digital asset industry and stating that the future of digital assets is vibrant and promising. She also mentioned that the SFC would adopt the regulatory philosophy of "same business, same risk, same rules" to bring crypto over-the-counter trading and custody institutions under regulatory oversight.
