Jamaica Bitcoin app Flash launches hurricane relief fundraising
Foresight News reported, according to Forbes, that the Jamaican bitcoin application Flash has launched a fundraising campaign through the BTCPay Server plugin running on the Flash backend to support disaster relief following last month's hurricane in Jamaica and to alleviate the inconvenience of digital payments in the country. The campaign is still ongoing. Within 72 hours, the campaign raised bitcoin worth $10,000, and the total donations have now exceeded $15,000. The team converts bitcoin into fiat currency through the Flash application to purchase relief supplies.
