U.S. Government Efficiency Office: Reuters' report about its dissolution is fake news

Foresight News: The U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) tweeted that the Reuters report about its dissolution is fake news. The department will resume its regular Friday updates in a few days. The American people have authorized President Trump to modernize the federal government and reduce waste, fraud, and abuse. Just last week, the department terminated 78 wasteful contracts, saving taxpayers $335 million.

Previously, according to Reuters, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), established by Trump to downsize the government, had been dissolved. When asked about the status of the department, U.S. Office of Personnel Management Director Cooper said, "It simply does not exist." According to the executive order signed after Trump took office, the Department of Government Efficiency was supposed to operate until July 2026.
