Crypto investor Harborne donates approximately $12 million to the UK Reform Party

Jinse Finance reported that the UK Electoral Commission has disclosed that crypto investor Christopher Harborne donated £9 million (approximately $12 million) to the UK Reform Party, setting a record for the largest single donation to a political party by a living individual in the UK. Harborne has previously invested in stablecoin issuer Tether and an exchange, and in 2019 had already donated to the party (then known as the Brexit Party). This donation makes the Reform Party the UK political party that received the most donations in Q3 2025. Party leader Nigel Farage has previously actively courted crypto voters, accepted cryptocurrency donations, and promised to establish a bitcoin reserve if elected. It is worth noting that Harborne's donation this time was made in cash rather than cryptocurrency.
