Oslo Airport Now Accepts Bitcoin Payments Via TRN and Satoshi Consult
COINOTAG News reports that on December 18, the Norwegian Travel Retail Company (TRN) has begun accepting Bitcoin payments at Oslo Airport. The deployment is powered by Satoshi Consult, whose solution is designed to comply with Norwegian regulations, delivering regulated crypto checkout for travelers in the airport environment.
At launch, the service applies to in-store pickup orders upon arrival, with TRN indicating plans to broaden access to additional stores and payment methods. Importantly, accepting Bitcoin carries no extra merchant fees, although customers may see network or wallet fees reflected in their own wallets.
The move signals a measured advancement for crypto adoption within the travel retail ecosystem, reflecting regulatory-aligned practice and potential efficiency gains for international passengers as TRN evaluates expanded deployment across more outlets and payment rails.
